Dublin Poker Tournament 2019
The Irish Poker Open will run from the 15th till 22nd April, 2019 at the City West Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. The tournament consisting of 26 events will kick start with a championship event. The main event running on the 17th of April will have a buy-in of €1,150 + €125 and a guaranteed prize pool of €1 million. Poker Tournament.

- The Irish Open Poker Tournament – 40-Year Anniversary Covid-19 has taken its toll on the world in 2020 and unfortunately, the Irish Open poker tournament is another casualty. Initially the live poker tournament had to be postponed, but thankfully a partnership with Party Poker.

It is with great regret that we advise you that the Fitzwilliam Card Club has ceased operations. This is due to recent amendments to the Gaming & Lotteries act 1956 contained in the Gaming & Lotteries (Amendment) Act 2019. This Act was signed into law by the President on the 21st of December 2019.
This legislation re-casts the principle of prohibition on the provision of commercial gaming contained in the 1956 legislation, namely that the provision of gaming where the odds of the player and the banker are not equal constitutes unlawful gaming.
While the level of enforcement remains unclear, the provision of unlawful gaming is deemed a criminal offense, which if prosecuted, carries a sanction of up to 2 years in Gaol and/or a fine of up to €50,000.
The legal risk was such that the Fitzwilliam felt compelled to cease all operations until such time that the long promised Gambling Control Bill is drafted and enacted.

2019 Dublin Poker Festival brought to you by D4 Events will running its 6th season on the 8th till 17th February, 2019 at The Bonnington Hotel Conference Center (formerly Regency Hotel) in Dublin, Ireland. The 6th season will introduce the “Big Blind Ante’ to all events and all 30+ events will have an improved structure.
The tournament will kick start with the Amateur Championship of Poker with a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000, Irish Senior Championship, European Deepstack Main Event, EDSPC 300 NLH, High Roller and much more.
